Dyslexia Simulation

Dyslexia Simulation

While most people understand what dyslexia is, few can truly understand what it is like to live with it.

While most people understand what dyslexia is, few can truly understand what it is like to live with it. This simulation helps individuals without dyslexia gain perspective regarding the frustrations children with dyslexia frequently experience in a classroom setting, and can often find remarkable workarounds and ways to compensate for their disability.

Through the simulation, one can recognize that each individual with dyslexia presents differently regarding how their challenges impact their learning experience and daily functioning. This thought-provoking and eye-opening experience will sometimes be frustrating, anxiety-provoking, and overwhelming, but important, nonetheless.

Meet the staff from Alcuin Montessori and the Redwood @ Alcuin program, and learn about their programs at this adults-only presentation. This event is hosted by Alcuin Montessori and Redwood Schools. We hope to see you there!
