Screening of the film Left Behind @ the Davis Theater!

Join us for an impactful evening at the Davis Theater in Lincoln Square for a special screening of the powerful documentary Left Behind, a film that explores the often invisible struggles of students who face literacy challenges—and the systemic gaps that fail to support them.

Following the film, stay for a live virtual Q&A with the director, Anna Toomey, offering a unique opportunity to go deeper into the stories, intentions, and calls to action behind the film.

This event is open to everyone:

  • Parents of students with literacy struggles

  • Teachers eager to better understand and support their students

  • School and district leaders seeking meaningful change

  • Professionals searching for insight

  • Students hoping to grow in empathy and understanding

All proceeds from the evening will benefit Redwood Schools, a Chicago-based nonprofit supporting students with dyslexia and other learning differences through specialized, evidence-based education across the Chicagoland area.

Come be part of a community that’s learning, growing, and taking action—together.
